it’s entirely inappropriate for anyone to walk up to a person with a tattoo (a new, healing one at that) and just touch it, okay? it’s rude, uncalled for, and to do so without asking is asserting yourself and neglecting to respect someone’s bodily autonomy.
a volunteer tonight thought it was cool to rub my thigh with her hands and i was so caught off guard i didn’t know what to say. i’m not a touchy feel-y person and i do not enjoy being randomly touched.
people, just don’t touch other people’s tattoos, or their bodies, for that matter, without their consent, okay?
